Windows 8 Shortcuts (NEW)

Windows 8 merupakan sistem operasi Microsoft terbaru (diluncurkan tanggal 27 Oktober 2012 yang lalu). Sistem Operasi ini sangat cepat dan sangat enak untuk digunakan di tablet PC (ini komputer yang memiliki kemampuan touch screen).

Jika komputer anda tidak memiliki kemampuan touch screen, maka komputer dengan Windows 8 bisa digunakan seperti Windows 7 asalkan kita ingat dua hal :

1. Windows 8 menghilangkan tombol START. Tombol START ini digantikan fungsinya dengan tombol fisik “WINDOWS” yang bertanda (biasanya terletak di antara tombol CONTROL dan ALT di sebelah kiri bawah).
2. Tombol merupakan tombol yang sangat powerful di Windows 8, dan hanya dengan mengingat beberapa kegunakan tombol ini, maka pengoperasian komputer kita akan menjadi sangat cepat

Beberapa contoh kegunaan tombol yang terpenting adalah :

• Login ke sistem yang baru saja hidup cukup tekan “CONTROL” kemudian masukkan password
• Mencari informasi apapun, atau memanggil aplikasi apapun bisa dilakukan dengan menekan dan diikuti dengan kata kunci. Misalnya mencari bahan presentasi berisi kata “teknologi” maka kita bisa mengetik teknologi ext:ppt . Atau membuka aplikasi powerpoint kita bisa ketik powerpoint. Atau sekedar membuka menu start (yang tombolnya hilang itu) kita cukup menekan saja
• Jika komputer anda terhubung ke 2 layar, maka kita bisa ketik p (“projector”) untuk membuka menu “projector” dan memilih konfigurasi layar yang diinginkan seperti ini :

 

• Memanggil menu charms bisa dilakukan dengan mengetik c (“charms”). Dari menu charms ini kita bisa melakukan banyak hal misalnya mencari informasi, sharing informasi, start menu, mencetak (print), atau mengubah setting. Menu ini bersifat kontekstual, jadi fungsi berubah sesuai dengan aplikasi apa yang tampil paling depan saat itu.

• Switch ke DESKTOP dari METRO/MODERN UI (menu yang kotak-kotak itu) atau sebaliknya bisa dengan menekan tombol d (“desktop”)
• Jika ingin meninggalkan komputer dalam kondisi hidup, kita bisa kunci komputer kita dengan l (”lock”)

brings up the Metro start screen. You can start typing to search for an app, just like the Windows 7 start menu. For example to find “PowerPoint” just type “ powerpoint “

Pause/Break = open system properties (shows system rating, installed memory etc)

= (equal sign) = Zoom in (magnifier)

- (minus) = Zoom out (magnifier)

, (comma) = Aero Peek at the desktop

. (period) = Snaps the current Metro application to one side of the screen, toggle to the Right Side or to the Left Side

C = brings up the Charms menu (right swipe), where you can search, share, and change settings.

D = brings up the old Windows desktop, show or hide the desktop

F = brings up the Metro File search screen

H = opens the Metro Share panel.

I = opens the Settings panel, where you can change settings for the current app, change volume, wireless networks, shut down, or adjust the brightness.

J = switches focus between snapped Metro applications.

K = 2nd screen output options

L = lock session

M = Minimize Windows

P = projector settings (2nd screen, choose output type, etc).

Page Up / Down = moves the current app to the other monitor.

R = run box

S = launch snipping tool (only for OneNote)

T = browse all the running apps through tiles

Tab = opens the Metro application switcher menu, switches between applications.

W = brings up the Metro Settings search screen.

X = list of direct shortcuts including CMD (both admin and non-admin), Windows Explorer, Search, Run, Control Panel and Network Connections

Z = opens the App Bar for the current Metro application.
